Intralogistics – what is it?
Intralogistics describes all processes relating to in-house logistics. Intra-logistics, or production logistics, organises in-house transport, handling and warehousing processes. This includes, amongst other things, warehousing and buffer technology, industrial trucks, logistics software, sorting systems, palletising systems and packaging technology. Intralogistics relies on interdisciplinary collaboration between suppliers and experts from various fields. The counterpart to intralogistics is logistics outsourcing, whereby all logistics processes are handled by an external service provider.
